One of the more thrilling moments I experienced as a coach just happened
I met with a client who wants to extend the coaching experience to her team. But before we dove in, she asked if she could show me something. Immediately, she’s sharing her screen and proudly announcing she’s a finalist for her very large organization’s annual awards! The category? EXCELLENCE IN LEADERSHIP !!!!
I could not be more proud of and thrilled for her. Over the past year, her leadership journey has gone from unclear and self-critical to purposeful and recognized. She is the living embodiment of someone who wants to be better, do better, and put in the work to achieve it.
The best part is that this award wasn’t among her targeted goals, nor was it expected in anyway.
Sometimes that’s what happens when you’re crushing it: people can’t help but notice! (Even the ones who you didn’t think were noticing.)
